Our organic garden and greenhouse
operate throughout the year, providing an amazing array of vegetables
and herbs for meals. Chard, zucchini, tomatillos, asparagus, eggplant,
basil, sweet peas, oregano, thyme, all kinds of lettuce and so much
more keep the staff busy throughout the year. That which can't be
served fresh is made into salsas, pesto, ravioli fillings and the
like for later enjoyment!
Many of the flowers you find throughout the Lodge are also grown
in the garden. Near the yoga studio is a small orchard which provides
plenty of apples, apricots, plums and Asian Pears, all
of which find their way into our morning fruit salad and our annual
jam-making bonanzas. |
